What exactly does MING Password Monitor do when installed on a PC connected to a LAN?
MING Password Monitor using NIS enables the network card's promiscuous mode and captures network traffic on the local LAN segment.
It monitors incoming and outgoing network traffic and decodes FTP, POP3, HTTP,
ICQ, SMTP, and Telnet usernames and passwords, then save
to database.
What is the impact on my network?
As a passive listener, there is no impact on the network, or on the time to deliver the messages to the recipient.
What is the difference between the trial version and the licensed version?
The major difference is
that the trial version can not see all the characters of
the passwords and usernames, it will expire and cease to function
10 days after
installation.
Why I capture noting?
When you start to capture messages, you must select an adapter for capture packet. Your can try every adapter, until find
today's packets number go up in the state bar if any people using
internet in time.
Why I can only capture conversations on the PC where the software is installed?
MING Password Monitor needs special network structure. If you follow the steps in http://network.mingsoft.com/topo.html, you should get what you want.
Please check your network and try again. If you can not
change your network, you can use our another software MING
Password Spy which can work in any network environment.
How are the records stored?
All records are stored in a local database (included). You can analyze the data based on the participants, time or
date.
No adapter can be finding in the software, how can I do?

Does MING Password Monitor contain any advertising
or spyware?
